History of Digital Art

Fall Semester 2023

In this project, I explored the creative possibilities of glitch art, a genre of digital art that applies purposeful mistakes or glitches to create visually capturing and provoking imagery. Throughout the semester, I explored the history of digital art, its cultural relevance, and its evolution within a broader framework of digital art movements. To create glitch art, I used photos from my camera roll from previous trips to Boston and Jamaica, then I used Photoshop to create my glitch art effect. This project provided a rich exploration of glitch art as a vibrant and dynamic mode of artistic expression.
