Book Cover Redesign

Vector-Based Graphic Design

After reading ‘Bomb Power: The Modern Presidency and National Security State,’ I was inspired to recreate its book cover for my vector-based graphic design class. Bomb Power: The Modern Presidency and National Security State is a novel that is based on the examination of how the atomic bomb was used in World War II. The goal was to redesign the book's cover to improve its visual appeal, clearly convey its ideas, and captivate the intended readership. For the cover redesign, I intended to create the city explosion to showcase how powerful the bomb explosion destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. 

The redesigned cover for "Bomb Power" successfully gathered positive feedback from the professor and peers for its visual appeal and dramatic representation. My classmates were drawn in by the book's revamped appearance, which raised interest. Also, my classmates gained a deeper understanding of the book's themes and content as a result of the redesign of the cover.
